TensorWave is a GPU cloud that runs only AMD chips. Its $6.5 billion lease at Fermi’s Texas campus leans on AMD’s credit, and the hall still has no construction money, so financing is the step that binds.

Samsung earned a record ₩107.4 trillion in one quarter, mostly from memory prices rather than more chips. It has ₩198 trillion of net cash and a ₩84 trillion build plan, and says 2027 spending still won't lift 2028 output much. The stuck step is the clean room.

A GPU rental price is what a cloud charges for one graphics processor for one hour. An H100 cleared at $2.92 on 29 October 2026, but only the hours not already sold on contract earn that price.

KEPCO's first technical review said no supply for 279 of 522 Seoul-area data centre requests. On 26 October the minister said AI data centre demand is smaller than planned. Sites next to power plants get paid first; the line into the capital is the stuck step.

Alphabet's inventory reached $13.3 billion at 30 September, about 5.5 times end-2025, as Google buys and assembles TPU systems for outside customers before it can bill them. Google is now a second, direct buyer of AI chip parts, adding a hardware cash cycle to the custom-chip supply chain.

Free cash flow is the cash a company’s operations bring in, minus the cash it spends on buildings and equipment. AI servers are paid for now and charged to profit over six years, so free cash flow falls first.
Taiwan
ASE's sales rose 45% to a record NT$244bn in the third quarter, and its chip packaging and test margin passed 30%. It raised 2026 spending again to US$11.5bn and borrowed to pay for it. Toolmakers and builders are paid now. The stuck step is the new floor.

Microsoft was $546.39 after hours, about $4.06 trillion. It already recognised $33.165 billion of Azure. What does the price assume about getting paid on Azure while the third-party rack still waits to commence?

Tencent converts games, ads and payments cash into AI compute: it gets paid on Weixin and games today, while the cloud invoice stays inside FinTech and Business Services and live cards are still the stuck step.

Microsoft on 28 October printed Azure at $33.2 billion, up 48%, and $45.2 billion of capex, short of a ~$50 billion guide. Who gets paid is Microsoft on Azure that billed. The stuck step is still handover of rented GPU-as-a-service racks.
